The New Chemistry in Fire, Vapor, and Contamination Control
F-500 is an Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (cULus) listed fire suppression agent used to extinguish Class A and B fires, contain hazardous spills, and reduce explosive vapors. By combining the benefits of an NFPA 18 Wetting Agent and our Encapsulator Technology into one product, F-500 has set the new standard for fire and hazardous material control. In addition to its superior effectiveness and efficiency, F-500 is environmentally safe, non-toxic, non-corrosive, 100% biodegradable, and requires no specialized equipment to apply.
Some of the features and benefits of F-500 Encapsulator Technology:
Fire Suppression:
- F-500 Encapsulator Technology is a cULus Listed Wetting Agent at 1%, 3%, and 6% for Class A and Class B Fires.
- Reduced surface tension allows for greater penetration into combustible materials.
- Significantly reduces heat and interrupts the chemical chain reaction.
- Dramatic cooling properties are effective in extinguishing class D metal fires.
- Has no blanket susceptible to breaking as with foam and does not trap the heat like traditional foam blankets.
- F-500 has been shown to improve air quality at the scene by reducing levels of hazardous soot and combustion byproducts.
Fuel and Vapor Neutralization:
- For flammable liquid spills, F-500 is a superior spill control agent that can effectively eliminate the explosive danger created by the spill of Class B liquids.
- F-500 can encapsulate and neutralize explosive vapors in addition to liquid spills, significantly lowering LEL measurements after application.
Safe and Easy To Use:
- F-500 is nontoxic, non-corrosive, and fully biodegradable.
- Can be used with existing equipment via proportioning, eduction, or pre-mixed solution and delivered through a standard fire hose.
- Standard water fire extinguishers can be charged with F-500 Encapsulator Technology.
