On Sunday September 9th The Hastings-on-Hudson Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual inspection luncheon at Harvest on Hudson beginning at 1130am with inspection followed by cocktails and lunch starting at 1pm all members are urged to attend, this a good way of showing our pride in our department, the inspection portion will be open to the public.

In addition on that day the department will be announcing the
"Robert J. Schnibbe Firefighter of the year award"

Members are asked to assemble with their companies in full uniform at 11:00am Please come and participate in along lasting firematic tradition.

The Hastings Fire Department Softball Team will be playing in the 26^th Annual Cosmo Strigaro Memorial Softball Tournament at the FASNY (Firemen’s Association of the State of New York) Firemen’s Home in Hudson New York. August 3, 4 & 5.

The Firemen’s Home Softball Field has installed a new scoreboard that has been donated by the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department in Memory of Chief Robert J. Schnibbe Jr.

On Saturday August 4^th at 12 noon there will be a Dedication Ceremony at the main field at the Home. The members of the softball team and others attending the Ceremony will wear the Battalion 14 T-shirts purchased in Memory of Chief Schnibbe.

Anyone interested in attending the Ceremony or purchasing a T-Shirt, please contact Chief Bannon or Chief Gagliardi.

For training Rescue divers submerged below six inches of ice practicing scuba and search skills.

Additional training included a training evolution of every member that attended. Each member donned their Sterns cold water immersion suit and practiced self rescue and victim rescue. Please take a look at all the pictures.
